My New Job..

I wanted to take a few moments to fill you in on what’s happening in my life, and to introduce my exciting new business venture!

With my maternity leave ending in January, I have been looking for a way to stay home with my 2 girls. Previously working in the restaurant industry, it was not going to work this time around. I wanted to find something that worked around my family's schedule.

I was recently introduced to Arbonne and fell in love with the products as well as their dedication to help me be successful. I found it hard to find a product that was consistent with results. When I was introduced to Arbonne it met all my expectations for a beauty care line & more.  All of the products are botanically-based and formulated without the use of chemical dyes or fragrances.  Everything is packed in recycled materials, and none of the products are tested on animals or contain animal by-products.
Arbonne started as a prestigious Swiss line of anti-aging skin care products and has now grown into a vast offering of consumable products for everyone on your shopping list. A glimpse of Arbonne’s product offering includes: a detox spa line, cosmetics, aromatherapy, baby products, FC5 (Fresh Cell Technology) products that include shampoo, conditioner, hand & foot creams and skin care for younger skin, a men’s line, sun care, as well as an extensive holiday line. There is also a whole line of Health & Wellness products that include nutritional supplements, weight-loss support, energy boosters, & vitamins.

After getting in touch with my friend who introduced me to the product line, I was amazed at the success she was experiencing by representing these products and business opportunity. I looked into it further and saw the opportunity to share its benefits with others. Did I mention that our company car is a white Mercedes Benz? …Ta-Da! A new adventure! Introducing me – Stacey Brown, your friendly neighbourhood Arbonne lady!

I am very excited to share my new adventure with you. I hope to learn and grow as much as possible with the company, and to share my experiences with others. My hope is to schedule some friendly gatherings where we can get together, and I will be able to show you all of the amazing products available through Arbonne. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

If you aren’t in the neighbourhood and would like to try Arbonne products & learn more about consultant opportunities (or know of someone who may be interested), please connect with me by phone or email.
Until then, my thanks to you (in advance) for your support with my new business venture!

Wake the Fuck Up

Of course you have heard of the book, Go the Fuck to Sleep. I would like to suggest a follow up, inspired by my husband…

———————————
The dishes are washed, everything tidy in its place
The leftovers boxed up, my dear, and the counters wiped away
I’ve asked you six times, don’t make me say it again
Please, for the love of God
Just empty the fucking trash can.
———————————
You work hard and need your rest
I do know that and care
But you slept all night and napped three times
You’ve more than gotten your share
It’s time to awake and get on with the day
Wake the fuck up already, you hear me OK?
———————————
You’ve been flipping for an hour
But have yet to pick a show
Could you be more annoying?
The answer is no.
Surrender the remote, I’ll ask one last time
or I’m kicking you out, on your fucking behind.
———————————
The day is getting dim
Soon it will be night
I can’t see a thing, my love
You have to know I’m right
I’m not as tall as you so I need your larger height
Would it kill you to change that fucking hall light?
———————————
I know you feel sick but I do as well
My nose is stuffy too
and my throat sore as hell
Please stop complaining
It’s just a little cold
So shut up and cope
You’re not that fucking old
———————————
I love you so much
I value what you say
But now I’m trying to sleep
And you’re keeping me awake
For the last time, my sweet,
I just don’t give a crap.
Enough already, really
Just shut your fucking pie trap.
———————————
I’m laying in bed, desperately needing my rest
You’ve been sleeping for hours
Happily passed out on your chest,
How are you so loud, I really don’t know
But if you don’t fucking stop snoring,
You’re gonna have to go.
———————————
Is this too much to ask,
from the man I adore?
I really don’t get why I’m so easy to ignore.
Start listening to me, that’s all there is to it.
Oh, and the dog needs a walk
Just fucking do it.

Messy Monday's

...gotta get messy every once and a while, no matter what the clean up might be...

Pea had 3 bibs on because her sister thought just one wouldn't do  the trick..

In this case, it was cleaning oatmeal from the eyes, ears, and nose...which resulted in a bath..

Do you have a messy monday to share?

Back to the grind..

The past year has gone by much too quickly, never mind the fact princess is going back to school TOMORROW and pea's 9 month "birthday" is just around the corner..

Going back to the grind of things means:
*school supplies shopping
*back to making school lunches..
*..waiting for the one hot lunch day out of the month!
*peanut free schools are stupid when it doesn't apply to your child...sorry for who's it does.
*early bedtime for princess (which results in her reading books until 10pm, and how can i complain because she's reading on her own!)
*..late nights for princess means grumpy mornings..again!
*no more sleeping in..that means pea's schedule too.
*hoping pea gets a nap schedule around princess's school schedule.
*4 more months of mat leave...*sniff* *sniff*
*looking for a new job..rather than going back to the old. (but will go back if needed)
*homework...
*housework...this one never went away, but seemed to fit right in there.

All in all i don't want this year to continue.. It makes me sad..

Pea's first birthday...princess's 8th birthday..return to work..working mom of 2...no daycare.. I just don't know that outcome of this year..

Hope it can be as amazing as this past year!

On the Move

This has been Pea's BIGGEST accomplishment since her 8 mo birthday...

Now she's gotta pick up the pace so she can chase her sister!

Watch out...

Kittys' in for more than she thinks...just wait until you are bald from the fur pulling baby!

That is all..

September Jitters

BACK TO SCHOOL SOON.....did i say that out loud??? YUCK!!!!!!

September is just around the corner, which means only one thing. Back to making princess lunches for another school year. It is definitely on my "lease favorite" things to do list! And grade 2....? Really!!? I remember her as a toddler and baby like it was yesterday, her first tooth, her first steps, and her first words..(I might have to have a quick look over her baby book to refresh my memory, but it's all there)

It's so nice to have another daughter to watch grow. I wouldn't trade being at home with the girls for anything. Some days rougher than others, but i still love every minute of it.

Princesses new favorite thing to say, several times a day when she's not getting her way, or her sister is getting more attention than her is, "...can't she have another nap already??" Oh geez princess...your little pea sister isn't even fully mobile yet and you are already wishing for her to not be here. Sisterly Love at such a young age!  I can just imaging when she's crawling around, you'll treat her like the dog you wished she was. Just remember..it might bite you in the butt one day!

I am hoping there is enough of an age gap between them that i wont have a lot of competition between them. I mean 7 years is QUITE the difference when you think of education, sports, friends, and just all around interests. Here's to wishful thinking..girls prove me right!

On another note..Pea dislikes baby food. Well she will eat it if nothing else is visible to her little eyes that's closer to "normal" food. Example princess was eating a yogurt tube and pea was eating her blueberries with rice krispies. Until...pea was yelling so LOUD at princess because she knew "it must be better than this crap". I don't mean like crying with tears upset, straight up yelling! Bursts is a good way to imagine it. I'm sure our neighbors hate us because she is SO loud! I had to ask princess to go eat her tube in the living room with cartoons on so pea could finish her breakie. Ridiculous no? I though it was... Now i give them the same thing to avoid all belly screaches!

I can also say i am quite content with pea not being able to crawl yet. She's pretty good at maneuvering to where she wants to be, backwards, and sideways, or rolling, but not going forwards. I had bought a baby gate only to find that it doesn't work with the top of our stairs, so here's to selling it to buy another one..easier said than done. Princess better enjoy her time now all by herself in the house before her bedroom becomes her favorite "quiet" place away from it all. I give pea another couple weeks, about the same time her 3rd and 4th tooth will appear i'm sure. Since teething is taking it's suite time about surfacing.

.....until another night!

..time and time again.

Last post was over a month ago.. i'm terrible at this blogging stuff. I have so much to do day to day, and prob a lot i can write about, but when it comes time to write i'm all out of energy..plus there's other things to do! I know i'll wish i wrote more one day...

Well, what's new (bullet style) :

*Pea rolls, and rolls, and ROLLS..
*We have bought a new vehicle (07' Jeep Compass)
*Pea loves to go for walks
*Princess has surrendered to her attitude and is now a nice little peanut!
*"Im bored" gets said way too often, even when there is lots going on.
*Princess having older friends = too much growing up in too little time.
*Pea has her first tooth!
*Summer vacation to Powell River was great! (one week)...but never long enough!
*Pea's first "boat" ride was on a house boat.
*Pea saw her first frog and snake all in one day
*Princess LOVES little pet shops.
*Im trying to be crafty latley, sometime it works out to my advantage..
*Grade 2 is just around the corner..going to enjoy the last few weeks of no school lunches..
*B has a new love for Golf..or more of a obsession.
*Pea is close to crawling..you put her on all 4's and she rocks, its just a matter of movement..
*Installing the gate at top of stairs (this week!)

Im sure there's more of "what's new" but this is all the Pea will let me get in...

Until next month i guess... :)

Wow!!

WOW!!! The last post i did was on Mother's Day.....

I can definitely say my time has been well spent. I don't have any spare time in a day..although now that princess is on summer break, maybe I can find time for myself?? doubt full..

I am first of all going to chance princesses name from "Princess" to "Queen Attitude" It suits her more. Man are my days going to be long if this keeps up....

For a while i liked to think she had something wrong with her ears..can she really not hear me when i'm standing right beside her?? Apparently she's fully capable, even when you are in front of her.. Also she's famous for the "think before you speak" saying..she just doesn't think...before she says anything! Oh the love of 7 year olds..it can only get better, right???

                                                                      Here's to my sanity!

On another note, Pea is 6 months old today. I am wishing for a time machine, to freeze time so i can spend that extra bit of time with her at this age.. I love it. She's trying to explore everything! From screaming at the cat, to me and pea running with Queen attitude chasing us..she loves every minute of it.

Pea has no teethies yet, but you can tell they want to come. Her bottom gums are swollen and have 2 bumps (where i am assuming they will appear). She's not crabby about it which is a bonus. *knock on wood* We had a couple weeks where she forgot what sleep was, therefor; so did i! Glad she's back on track now.  She has a bath just after 8pm, cuddles, play, and bottle for bed. She's sleeping by 9, and wakes at 5am talking away to herself. Has another bottle, or her sucky, and hits the hay until 7:30-8.

She is now a solely bottle baby. I miss nursing her, especially in the morning when i can roll over and sleep with her, and i didn't have to make or clean bottles. But it just isn't working for our lifestyle anymore. Its getting harder and harder...so onto bottles she went. It's a big step considering i did everything to get her to even take a bottle..with anything. Now she's figured it all out.

Well...here's to waiting another month for a new post. Hopefully i have more time and get to do this sooner...

A Dad's Day VS. A Mom's Day

I got to thinking this morning as i was arguing with A to get dressed and listening to M whine on her play mat that it's just another day.

Dad was in the shower and oblivious to what's going on..
..At least he gets a shower in peace!

I decided to compare my "Mom's Day" at home, to "Dad's Day" at work..

Dad's Day:

*Wake up 7am - brew coffee, drink coffee, turn on the news, enjoy the news in peace and quiet.
*Repeat above.
*Get work clothes on, do the man bathroom routine..
*Wake up A
*Come visit baby M (while she's sleeping..)
*Bring baby M to mom (..not sleeping anymore)
*Yell at A to get out of bed or she will be late for school
*Say G'Bye to his girls
*Off to work
*WORKING - dealing with public, orders, co-workers, boss, crummy/nice weather, get dirty, etc.. (I know the work day consists of more, but that's the just of things..)
*Home for dinner
*Get cleaned up
*Eat dinner
*Watch hockey game or news
*Cuddle with girls, ask how day went, what A did, etc..
*Watch sportsnet or other show
*Help get girls ready for bed (bath, jammies, story, etc)
*Put girls to bed
*TV time..
*Bed time
*Dream about golf, hunting, fishing...etc...
*Repeat next morning...

Mom's Day:

*Get up 8am, get A ready for school.
*Argue with A that shes going to be late if she doesn't get dressed.
*Get M changed and fed
*Threaten to call dad at work if A doesn't get dressed RIGHT NOW!
*A gets dressed..
*Feed grumpy A breakie, load backpack, out the door.
*Take A to school packing M
*Get home from taking A to school, feed M.
*M has nap
*COFFEE!!!
*Clean: laundry, dishes, kids toys clean up, put away laundry, mop floors, vacuum, make beds, etc...
*M wakes, play time!!!
*M's pooped from play time..now naps again.
*Mom showers
*Hears M crying while in shower..decided to power nap instead.
*Out of shower, dressed, gets M
*Goes to pick up A from school with M
*Come home or go get groceries with girls
*Homework with A while entertaining M
*Making dinner
*Cleaning up dinner
*Girls get bath
*Clean up from girls bath
*Story time
*10 minute relax
*A to bed
*M to bed
*Make A's lunch for school
*Bed time
*Not really sleeping..on alert for mommy calls...
*Repeat...

I know its probably rude to compare OUR day to THEIR day because i know their day can be chaotic..but whoever says being at stay at home mom (while on MAT leave) is a piece of cake, is crazy!

Although I'd much rather be home with my girls than at work, and I'm not complaining, just simply stating how crazy some days can go. I love it and wouldn't change it for the world, but if i hear someone ask me, "What did you do today?" and follow it by "..Oh, I wish my day was that easy..."

                                                     I might smack them..seriously!

Well..most days are good, others I'd like to pull my hair out. Mostly A with the new 6 year old attitude, you'd be surprised at what she can come up with to get out of doing anything, and i mean ANYTHING! I taught her to be creative, but i didn't know she'd be using it against my knowledge. Mom's always have to be one step ahead, and if we aren't..we need to figure out how to get there, quick!

Also, since when do our children classify us as "not with it" or "..you don't know what I'm talking about, never mind"
                        REALLY?!?

I remember growing up and always asking things to my mom, and i don't think i was 6 years old when i thought my mom wasn't with "my time". I don't know where they get it from so early now.

Well..consider this my Sunday rant..since that's what i feel like i have now accomplished.

Also this post was done to be fun and not taken seriously in any way possible. We appreciate everything we do for each other, some days just rougher.. for either of us :)
We'll figure it out when we are old and grey I'm sure! :)

At this rate, we will be getting there much faster! XO

Here we go again...

Before I know it it's 7:30am...get myself up (usually snooze the alarm 4-5 times and get up at 8am) Get myself dressed, into nothing fancy i might add; sweats, lulu's, and a sweater. Yell down the hallway for A to get out of bed, to hear a groan in return.. Hair into a messy ponytail, and teeth brushed. Yell down the hallway again, to hear A yell back, "...I'm already up!" When you know the sneaky 6 year old is still under her covers with every stuffed bunny she got for Easter around her!
Off i go to drag her out..

Do the same old same old every morning with A..some mornings with a 6 year old girl are a lot worse than others. A LOTS WORSE!  Whoever thinks they can decide they don't like socks, underwear, pants, shirts, and any other article of clothing at her age are crazy. Consider my daughter crazy!

Quick breakfast, load the backpack, get baby M ready and packed..off we go!

Within 25 minutes I'm back at home. While M is having her usual morning nap, and I enjoy my jump start to the day...

Morning Coffee:
How I hated you before my 2nd child..but now with a little vanilla flavoring i don't know what i would do without you! I can now make it through the day..productively!

I look forward to us meeting again..same time & place tomorrow!

Fab Photos..

......a while ago, we got Great Canadian Baby Photographers to take some pictures of M. I was a little scared as to how they would turn out because she was totally unimpressed, and it was nap time. Never mind that taking multiple photos of a 2 month old makes them exhausted!

The photographer was great, made all the silly noises and faces possible; although, she wanted no part of it. At the end of the shoot- he suggested that we do a retake because he didn't think there was "enough" photos (caused by the grump M).

Finally I got a call and they were ready to be viewed, the "salesman" came on Sunday to give us his spiel on M's pictures, and the cost. UGH..you'd think we were millionaires as he starts to tell us the best package is $799. Hahahahahaaha...is what i said..give me your cheapest deal!

This is what we got:

Having A Jolly Ol' Time..

I always have a hard time finding what to write..and 99% of the time its going to be about our girls! What more can a mom think of??

We recently got a jolly jumper from Aunty K, i was wondering on how she would take to it..Would she like it? Will she figure out how to bounce? All of the above, she loves it!

Having M in the jolly jumper makes my mornings after taking A to school a lot easier. I can tidy up, throw in a load of laundry, make myself some breakfast, and she's still hopping away; doing what looks like a scottish dance.  She has spent over an hour in it at a time..i dont know if i should feel guilty for leaving her in there for that long, but if she's enjoying it, and im getting things done..i dont see any problem. We are both happy.

One thing i have learnt is no bouncing after eating....

Daddy learnt this one first :)

Will it END??

We are now going on week 3 of being sick...First it was B, then A, Uncle M....then myself! (and we know that when mom is sick nothing gets done and NO ONE is happy!!!) Then the cold went onto M, now back to B..WILL IT EVER END?>>>>???

I hope it does soon! I've had enough...esp when the sun is shining and all i want to do is go outside for  a walk, and my eyes are watering, M's eyes, and A's nose is making a river down her face...

Also, id like for no visitors in the next 10000 years.

That is all!
