I was trying to think back to all the funny things Princess has said over her 6 years of life..I wish i had written them down as they happened, but I think im just going to have to put them as i remember...
about 3 years old...
"Mama, what color are my eyes?"
Mom says, "..chocolate brown"
Princess covers her eyes..
"..dont eat them!!"
"I want to be called squirt forever!"
Mom asks, "..what happens when you dont behave?"
Princess Replies, "...Bwent puts me in the shed.."
Grade one spelling words.. "..sound this one out", said Mom.
"B, u, t.....BUT .... hahahaha mama that's silly the teacher wants us to learn about our but's"
I was getting ready to go for family dinner, and as i had pea a month and a bit ago and am bf my shirts that fit from before dont fit at the top if you know what i mean....So i was complaining about them being fat and not having any shirts, and little did i know that Princess was listening to me, so she told me..." Call FedEx mom.." so of course i asked why?? "..because they can help, they make everything as small as you need it to fit through those mail slots.." lol all i could do was laugh and hug her.. <3
Will add as i remember....how terrible!! I knew i should have written them down as they happened..sigh!
Princess From The Past
Theres A House Inside My Mommy
Me and Princess went to the library today to return her books and get new ones. We found the cutest book ever called "Theres a House Inside My Mommy" by Giles Andreae. I wish i had been able to find this book when i first found out about the Pea to be. It's perfect to read to siblings.
Here's how it goes: (cuz i don't want to forget the story and it's cuteeeee!!!)
There's a house inside my mommy
where my little brother grows,
Or maybe it's me little sister
No one really knows.
My daddy says I lived there too
When i was being made ,
but i don't remember very much
About it, I'm afraid.
He always likes to tell me
It's a lovely place to be,
He knows because he's seen it
On the hospitals TV.
It's very warm and cozy
But because there's not a bed,
There's a sort of giant bathtub
Where the baby sleeps instead.
He needs to have a lot of room
To help him grow and play,
And that's why Mommy's tummy house
Gets bigger every day.
The house must have a kitchen
So he doesn't get too thin,
And i think the food my mommy eats
Can find it's way to him.
He seems to want such funny things
But Mommy's very kind,
So she eats all sorts of crazy stuff
And doesn't seem to mind.
I try to help take care of her
And see she gets some rest,
Sometimes she even falls asleep
Before she gets undressed.
Sometimes Mommy feels so sick
I don't know what to do,
But if i had a house in me
I'd feel all yucky too.
I wish the house had windows
So that we could see inside,
I couldn't find a single one
No matter how i tried.
I'd like to show him all my toys
And let him see the view,
And point out the amazing things
I'll teach him how to do.
Sometimes me and Mommy
Like to cuddle on our own,
And I tell him that i love him
Through her tummy telephone.
I'm sure that he can hear me
And he likes the way i sound,
'Cause we see him kick his little feet
And somersault around.
I just can't wait to meet him!
I hope that he's all right.
My daddy says be patient
As the door is still shut tight.
Look who Mommy made for us-
My lovely little brother!
There's no one in her tummy now...
UNTIL SHE MAKES ANOTHER!
I just love it and had to share!!
Vegies make you grow BIG and Strong!
...So......
I went to get a few groceries today with Princess as she's a great shopping buddy. It was so frigid cold outside that i had to get us hot chocolate before going into Save on. I think it was the longest Starbucks line in the smallest store ever..people were waiting outside in the line to order..it was crazy. We got 2 marble hot choc's and were on our way. I didn't want to put a sleeve on Princesses because she always fidgets with it and last time dropped her hot choc (not spilling it thank goodness). So i get our buggy and off we go..just as we get inside the door to Save on SMASH...there goes the hot chocolate. "Mama the slip fell off.." I wonder why?!? So i stand there until a cashier sees what happened, and as it was in front of the door i stood there until they could figure out where their wet floor sign was so no one fell...not like it was my duty, but i didn't want Princess to cry any more than what she was from dropping her hot choc, to watching someone fall and hurt themselves.. Employees finally get their gear together and off we go, me and blubbering Princess, who is now drinking my hot chocolate (as i get it the same temp as hers basically because I'm a baby too)...
After Save on we go to the fruit and veggie store. I like to get all produce from there because its fresh and half the price as ANY grocery store. Its always amazing! So, it started by Princess wanting tomato and cucumber salad with Italian dressing (her favorite). I went and got the tomatoes, and she went and got the cuke. Before i know it i hear, "..look Mama, bigger is WAYY better!" i just looked at her clearly not thinking like a 6 year old..and said, "..good find!" haha
No day is ever boring with her around...
Grey Box
...One lovely trip to the bathroom with the 6 yr old Princess...
"I want to go by myself.." said Princess...and this was the result.
"What that grey box for Mama?" As the lady in the stall next to the observant Princess probably pees a little more from laughing. "Have fun with that one!" the lady said as she left...
OMG..do i really have to answer you in a public washroom??
"..just don't touch it, and I'll tell you what it's for after.." i said.
I'm sure she took the extra 5 minutes in the stall to examine it, check the stickers on the outside of this grey box to see if it would give her any clue as to what it was for..
She finally came out, as there was no one in the washroom i proceeded to tell her what it was used for.
"..when you get to be a teenager, and being a girl, you get this lovely time of the month called..." I was then interrupted by Princess.
" Mama, we need one of these at home...THE SOAP COME OUT ON IT'S OWN!.."
And that was the end of me explaining the grey box...thank god for easily distracted minds, as i figure she can wait a few more years...and so can I!
